Global chart-topper Dermot Kennedy has officially announced his long-awaited return to Australia, with a massive national tour set for November 2026, with a stop right here in Adelaide.

Fresh off the release of his brand-new album, The Weight of the Woods, Dermot will bring his powerhouse live show to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre on Sunday, November 22th.

The Australian and New Zealand tour will see the Irish singer-songwriter perform eight dates across both countries, kicking off in Perth before making stops in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide.

For local fans, it’s welcome news. Dermot’s soaring vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and emotionally charged performances have earned him a devoted following around the world.

The announcement comes as Dermot continues his meteoric rise, with The Weight of the Woods making history in the UK. The release has officially made him the first Irish solo artist to score number one albums with his first three studio records. Not bad for a guy who once busked on the streets of Dublin.

The new album features fan favourites including “Honest,” “Funeral,” and “Refuge,” and was largely written and recorded near Dermot’s home in rural Ireland.

Before heading Down Under, Dermot will embark on his biggest-ever tours across Europe, the UK, North America, and Canada, including iconic venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Greek Theatre, and London’s O2 Arena.

Artist presale registrations are open now, closing Monday, May 4th at 5pm. Presale kicks off on Wednesday, May 6th, followed by the Live Nation presale on Thursday, May 7th.

General public tickets go on sale Friday, May 8th at 11am local time via Live Nation.

With more than four billion streams globally, platinum sales in over a dozen countries, and a live reputation that borders on legendary, Dermot’s return is shaping up to be one of Adelaide’s biggest concert events of the year.

If you’ve ever wanted to hear thousands of people collectively belt out “Power Over Me,” this is your moment.
