Lost Weekend | Write Out Loud

Lost Weekend | Write Out Loud

Lost weekend

Time to turn on the lonesome blues

It’s a wasteland heard the news

Lost weekend

Solitude and despair are friends

Heartache and   pain it never ends

Lost weekend

Hours consume me I can’t think

Days they fly by in a rapid blink

Monday to Friday the daily grind

I am permanently numb I truly find

Feelings I can’t even contemplate

Amnesia rules it’s a permanent state

Lost weekend

The lights are on nobody is home

Emptiness is a long road I roam

Lost weekend

Into oblivion I dive head first

Eat my heart out do your worst

Lost weekend

Take a break from your daily toil

Ease the pain of your inner turmoil

Alcohol and pills make you scream

Reminiscing about what might have been

Meditation gives a little light relief

From the never ending cycle of grief

Lost weekend

Marooned in no man’s land

Reaching out for a helping hand

Lost Weekend

it’s my deserved destination mate

My mind blown in a psychotic state

Lost weekend

Lost weekend

It is just like a prison cell

Alive and kicking a living hell

My eyes decieve you never could tell

Lost weekend
