Amazon Renewed is saving Aussies millions, here’s how to get in on the sales on top-name brands like Apple, Samsung, Sony and more

Right now, Australian shoppers are finding it in an unexpected corner of Amazon Australia.

Beyond the usual daily deals, two lesser-known storefronts, Amazon Renewed and Amazon Resale, are drawing serious attention thanks to a limited-time offer that adds an extra 20 per cent off at checkout on more than 4,000 already discounted items.

For a country that has long complained about paying a premium for tech and appliances, the numbers are hard to ignore.

In the past 12 months alone, Australians have saved over one million dollars by shopping pre-owned, refurbished and open-box products through Amazon Resale.

On average, customers saved more than 30 per cent off recommended retail prices last year. That is not a niche trend; it is a shift in how people are thinking about value.

Amazon Renewed focuses on refurbished products from well-known brands, professionally inspected and backed by a 180-day supplier warranty.

It means that big-ticket items such as laptops, smartphones and tablets are tested, verified and protected, without the full price tag.

There is also a sustainability angle that feels increasingly relevant.

Every renewed purchase extends the life of a device and reduces e-waste, which is no small consideration in a tech-obsessed world.

Amazon Resale, previously known as Amazon Warehouse, offers a slightly different proposition.

This is where open-box items, customer returns and pre-owned products are graded and resold at a discount.

Each item is carefully inspected and labelled from “Like New” through to “Acceptable”, giving shoppers transparency around condition before they buy.

It is the kind of detail that makes scrolling feel less like a gamble and more like a calculated win.

And Australians are clearly leaning in. Tens of thousands of items have been snapped up through Amazon Resale in just the past six months.

With the additional 20 per cent off promotion now live, it is easy to see why carts are filling quickly.

Among the standout finds, the Apple iPad 10.2-inch 9th Generation (2021) Wi‑Fi 64GB Space Grey (Renewed) is priced at $294, down from $549, making it one of the most accessible entry points into the Apple ecosystem.

For those looking to upgrade their work setup, the Dell Latitude 5420 14-inch Laptop i7 32GB RAM 512GB SSD (Renewed) offers serious performance at $456.56.

Coffee lovers can also get in on the action with the Sunbeam Barista Max Coffee Machine, bringing café-style brewing into the kitchen without stretching the budget.

At the higher end, photography enthusiasts might be tempted by the Sony Alpha 7 III Full Frame Camera, a cult favourite among creators.

Refurbished smartphones are another major drawcard. The iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB (Renewed) lands at $639, while the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 5G (Renewed) comes in at $1,116.25, both significantly below their original retail pricing.

Even premium audio has made the list, with the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2 Wireless Headphones offering a luxury listening experience at a reduced cost.

The appeal is not just about saving money. It is about shopping smarter. Whether it is scoring a near-new laptop, upgrading your phone or finally investing in that coffee machine, these platforms are turning what used to be second-hand hesitation into first-choice confidence.

With the extra 20 per cent discount running for a limited time, it is the kind of sale that rewards quick decisions.

For anyone willing to rethink what “new” really means, the payoff could be surprisingly substantial.
