Pakistani showbiz, including the television, film, music and now social media industries, has really grown into a big space in the last few years. With new-age celebrities joining in and old stars reinventing themselves, new stories keep coming out every season. But one department which is not growing is communication. The year 2026, with just 3 months in, was filled with controversies and many celebrities were seen attacking each other.
Here is a list of recent controversies in the Pakistani showbiz, and they were huge:
Dr Nabiha Ali Khan & Haris Khokhar
Dr Nabiha Ali Khan has become a relevant name in Pakistani showbiz since she started appearing in several shows, and she largely advocates for men’s rights. She got married to her friend Haris Khokhar last year in a lavish ceremony, and just months later, Nabiha shared on Fiza Ali’s Ramadan transmission that her marriage is in trouble. Dr Nabiha Ali Khan and Fiza Ali turned into a dramatic reveal, and their videos went viral all over social media. Many people were seen mimicking and trolling the overdramatisation.

Fiza Ali & Mishi Khan
The curious case of Dr Nabiha Ali Khan-Haris Khokhar-Fiza Ali turned uglier when many celebrities started trolling how dramatically this was dealt despite being revealed in a Ramadan transmission. Mishi Khan is also among the artists who thought the whole fiasco was unnecessary and even trolled Fiza Ali’s reactions. Mishi Khan and Fiza Ali have since been calling out each other back and forth, and they are not on talking terms.

Fiza Ali & Nida Yasir
Another friendship in Pakistani showbiz came to an end for unknown reasons. The controversy unravelled when Fiza Ali suddenly made a video criticising Nida Yasir after her blunder about food delivery people. Things went out of hand when Nida’s husband, Yasir Nawaz, called out Fiza for targeting his wife. After the Fiza-Nabiha controversy, Nida Yasir also tried to share how she will never do such a thing in Ramadan, and Fiza Ali was again pissed off and criticised Nida Yasir.
Javeria Saud & Yumna Zaidi
Javeria Saud is an actress and host who remained in the news throughout Ramadan this year for her inappropriate transmission techniques. She was seen making fun of people’s medical conditions and taking staged calls for TRPs. Things went out of hand when she ended up making ageist comments against superstar Yumna Zaidi. While showing a baby picture of Yumna, which did not even belong to her, Javeria stated, ” This is someone who has been trying for ages to make a mark, and she has recently become famous.” Other actresses jumped to Yumna’s defence while she herself clarified that the baby girl in that particular picture was not even her.

Atiqa Odho – Fahad Mustafa – Nadia Khan – Humayun Saeed
Another big age war took Pakistani showbiz by storm when Atiqa Odho advised Fahad Mustafa on Hasna Mana Hai to star opposite heroines his age. He felt offended and asked Atiqa to get surgeries if she wanted to work as his heroine. Humayun Saeed was standing beside Fahad when he made this comment. Later, Humayun ended up calling Nadia Khan and Atiqa Odho his “elder sisters”, and Nadia Khan trolled him in return. The internet was divided into camps throughout the whole controversy, and Atiqa and Fahad buried the hatchet by apologising to each other.
Resham & Deedar
Resham and Deedar decided to bring old Pakistani showbiz, aka Lollywood drama, to mainstream media. It all started when Deedar called Resham a negative person who had negatively impacted other people’s lives. She said that Resham has destroyed people, while Resham called Deedar a nobody, famous just because of her sister.

Ali Zafar & Meesha Shafi
The biggest controversy in the last decade in Pakistani showbiz is the harassment/defamation case of Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi. The duo has been fighting this out in court for over 8 years now. Ali’s defamation case finally had a verdict when he won, and Meesha Shafi was directed to pay 5 million PKR to him. Meesha’s harassment case is still pending, and the verdict once again divided people into two camps.
Rajab Butt – Eman Fatima & Zulqarnain Sikandar
Rajab Butt and Eman Fatima have been publicly fighting since he announced his intention to divorce her on a podcast. The couple share a son who has also been dragged multiple times into this. Other creators have also taken sides, and Kanwal Aftab and Zulqarnain Sikandar stood with Eman. This ended up riling Rajab, who called Kanwal names. Zulqarnain Sikandar then took to YouTube and exposed how he helped Rajab’s career and even got his wedding sponsored by several vendors.
Alizeh Shah & Yasir Nawaz
Alizeh Shah and Yasir Nawaz worked together in Mera Dil Mera Dushman. They have not been on great terms. Yasir spoke negatively about Alizeh’s alleged unprofessionalism, but later, Alizeh exposed how she had to suffer on that set. They have since been fighting out. Yasir once again spoke about Alizeh and said that he would like to work with her again while Alizeh threatened legal action if he ever used her name on a show.
Fiza Ali & Ejaz Khan
As things were settling down in Pakistani showbiz industry, Fiza Ali invited her new husband Ejaz Khan to her show. They were having a candid conversation when she laughingly asked him to lift her. He lifted her in his arms on live television. It looked extremely inappropriate and now Fiza is facing criticism and ban calls from the audience.

Pakistani showbiz industry has been marred with too many controversies, call outs and clap backs. Many stars have been asking to practice patience before saying painful things to each other. Others are asking to not convert the industry into a battle ground. Controversies are still not stopping and fans and colleagues are making comments on anything and everything.
