The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) has decided to withdraw the recent fare increase for its Lahore sightseeing bus service, providing relief to tourists.
According to officials, the decision comes after a recent reduction in petroleum prices. In response, TDCP has canceled the earlier notification regarding the fare hike in the public interest, restoring the previous ticket rates.
Authorities confirmed that an official circular has been issued with the approval of the Managing Director of TDCP. Under this directive, the original fares for the Lahore bus service have been reinstated.
TDCP has also instructed all relevant departments to immediately implement the updated fares across all platforms to ensure that tourists do not face any inconvenience.
Officials stated that the move aims to provide relief to the public while promoting tourism. The corporation added that similar initiatives will continue to support and enhance tourism activities.
