A new Cardfight!! Vanguard TV anime series will be released in 2027, celebrating the franchise’s 15th anniversary. Additional details on the new series were not revealed, as of the time of writing.

It was also announced on the franchise’s Twitter/X account that the upcoming Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Unmei Seisen-hen anime will receive a theatrical release in Japan on October 2, 2026. It will serve as the final story arc for the Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez series. Kinema Citrus will be in charge of the animation production.

Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez: Genma Seisen-hen aired for 12 episodes from January 10, 2026 to April 11, 2026 and was part of Cardfight Vanguard’s D Series anime. Past seasons from the Divinez series include seasons one and two of Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez in 2024, as well as Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez DELUXE Arc and Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez DELUXE Finals in 2025.
The staff for the Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez anime include Taku Yamada (Dropkick on My Devil!!! X co-director, Koikimo assistant director) as director, Shun Menjo (Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress trilogy card fight composition) and Takahito Onishi (Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress Season 3 co-series composer) as series composers, and Tomokatsu Nagasaku (Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress co-character designer) and Hiroyuki Saita (Revue Starlight) as character designers. Kinema Citrus, Gift Animation, and STUDIO JEMI handled the animation production.
Meanwhile, some of the voice cast from Genma Seisen-hen include:

Cardfight!! Vanguard is a Bushiroad multimedia franchise that started in 2011 and revolves around a trading card game. The D Series was created to commemorate Cardfight!! Vanguard’s 10th anniversary and features original character designs from manga collective CLAMP.

One day, a youth named Akina Myodo from Kanazawa of Kaga obtains a mysterious card after experiencing a vision of planet Cray. That card is proof that he has been chosen as the Fated One of Miracles, and an invitation to the “Fated Clash”, where the last one standing can have their wish granted.
