One of the Adelaide Hills’ biggest harvest celebrations is heading to Hahndorf this April, with Sidewood Estate set to host a two-day garden party filled with wine, food, music and family-friendly fun.

Running from 11:30am to 5pm on Saturday 18 April and Sunday 19 April 2026, the event will mark the end of harvest in classic Adelaide Hills style, bringing together flowing wine, wood-fired pizzas, live DJs and a packed lineup of activities across the estate’s grounds at 6 River Road, Hahndorf.

Set against the winery’s garden backdrop, the weekend is designed as a relaxed autumn celebration with a little something for everyone. Guests can expect plenty of Sidewood wine, sunshine, casual outdoor dining and a festive atmosphere as the season wraps up in one of South Australia’s best-known wine regions.

Saturday’s event is geared towards adults, while Sunday will open things up for families, with games, face painting and kids’ activities adding to the lineup. One of the biggest drawcards of the weekend is tipped to be the grape stomping competition, which is shaping up to be one of the most spirited highlights of the celebration.

Food will include a range of event favourites, with porcini and truffle arancini, BBQ chicken skewers, grazing boards and wood-fired pizzas all on the menu. The event team says dietary needs can also be catered for, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and nut-free options where possible.

Adult tickets start from $35 and include a drink on arrival and a take-home stemless glass. For families heading along on Sunday, kids tickets are $20, and a limited number of VIP day bed tickets are also available for those wanting to elevate the experience.

Sidewood says the event will be weather-ready, with a stretch tent covering the main event area and extra pop-up marquees on hand if needed to shelter entry points, seating zones and activations in wet weather. The venue will also continue to monitor conditions across the weekend to ensure guest safety and comfort.

Parking will be available onsite, with additional nearby street parking for overflow, and the venue is also encouraging guests to consider ride share to help reduce congestion. For those using public transport, Stop 51 on Mount Barker Road sits directly outside the venue and is serviced by the T843 weekend bus.

The estate is fully wheelchair accessible, with accessible bathrooms available onsite, and quiet breakout areas will be offered for guests wanting a break from the music and activity.

With vintage season wrapping up and autumn events in full swing, Sidewood’s harvest party is shaping up as a standout Adelaide Hills weekend outing for wine lovers, families and anyone keen to celebrate the season in the garden.
