Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has declared he feels “complete support” from the club hierarchy and supporters, even as scrutiny intensifies following a difficult spell of results.
The Dutchman’s side have suffered three successive defeats, leaving them with a meagre two victories from their previous eight matches ahead of Saturday night’s clash with Fulham.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Slot acknowledged the challenging circumstances but maintained his position remains secure.
“I am repeating myself a lot but I have said many times, I feel a lot of support,” the Liverpool manager stated.
“The club knows what period of time we are in. In the meantime, I feel complete support.”
The recent downturn includes a 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the opening leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie, a result that has left their European ambitions hanging in the balance.
Prior to that setback, Liverpool were comprehensively beaten 4-0 by Manchester City in the FA Cup, a performance Slot himself conceded saw his team “outplayed”.

The Reds have not tasted victory in the Premier League since February 28, a barren run that has seen them slip down the table during a crucial period of the campaign.
Their form has deteriorated markedly, with just two wins accumulated across all competitions in their last eight outings.
Slot emphasised that backing has come from multiple quarters within the organisation, singling out owners as well as sporting director Richard Hughes and chief executive of football Michael Edwards.

“Not only from the owners, Richard [Hughes] and Michael [Edwards], but as weird as it sounds, I feel the support of the fans,” he explained.
The Liverpool boss pointed to a particularly poignant moment following the heavy defeat to City, when travelling supporters demonstrated their loyalty in the French capital.
“When we were out in Paris immediately after a 4-0 loss [to Man City] and the fans were singing, ‘We love you, Liverpool’,” Slot recalled.
“We went to the away end and they were still singing and clapping for us. That support, we have felt constantly.”
Liverpool currently occupy fifth position in the Premier League standings, a spot that would secure Champions League qualification following the allocation of an additional European place to English clubs.

However, their cushion is wafer-thin, sitting merely a single point above Chelsea in sixth, while Brentford and Merseyside rivals Everton lurk just three points behind in seventh and eighth respectively.
Slot stressed the importance of maintaining their European status for the club’s continued development.
“If you experience that, you want to be involved in that next season to show we can do even better,” he said.
“We want to have that chance next season, so we have to perform in the league as well.”
