EXCLUSIVE: Titan Manga Previews Front Cover & Art of Atom: The Beginning Volume 14

Titan Manga has released an exclusive preview of the front cover and art of Atom: The Beginning Volume 14. The upcoming 14th volume is scheduled to be released in bookstores, comic shops, and retailers on June 2, 2026.

The Atom: The Beginning manga series is written by Masami Yuki, with Astro Boy manga creator Osamu Tezuka credited with the original concept and Makoto Tezuka serving as the manga’s supervisor. Tetsuro Kasahara draws the artwork for the series.

The manga was first published in Hero’s Inc’s Monthly Hero’s magazine on December 1, 2014 and was serialized there until October 30, 2020. It resumed serialization on the Comiplex website on November 27, 2020 and is also available in English digitally on Crunchyroll Manga. Twenty-five tankobon volumes have been released as of February 2026.

The manga inspired a 12-episode TV anime series in 2017 that is currently streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video service.

Titan Manga describes the main synopsis of the manga’s 14th volume as:

As trust fractures and secrets unravel, Volume 14 thrusts our heroes into their most harrowing confrontation yet. When Moriya takes control of a packed robot tournament – holding spectators hostage in a shocking public spectacle – the world is forced to reckon with buried truths. Demand for government accountability roars, while Tenma, Ochanomizu, and A106 race against the clock to stop catastrophe, salvage robotic innocence, and uncover the mystery binding them all.

This turning point volume transforms ATOM’s prequel from innovation-driven wonder into a political and ethical battleground. The light of progress is dimmed by conspiracy, raising the stakes for humanity’s relationship with its creations. With every revelation, the line between ally and adversary blurs – even as A106’s heart leads the way.

Titan Manga licensed the Atom: The Beginning manga series in April 2022. It describes the first volume as:

ATOM: The Beginning is an original manga based on the God of Manga Osamu Tezuka’s world-famous series Astro Boy. It works both as a prequel to the original series, telling the stories of the developers of the artificial intelligence that would eventually give birth to the iconic Atom, and as a stand-alone sci-fi manga about the turbulent lives of two robotic engineering students and their latest revolutionary project: the unassuming yet insanely strong A106, or “Six.”

The 14th volume is now available for pre-order from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Forbidden Planet for the U.K. and Europe.
