Pop culture fans, mark your calendars because Oz Comic-Con is coming to Adelaide and set to take over Adelaide Showgrounds on May 30 and 31, bringing a massive weekend of fandom, cosplay, gaming and entertainment to the city.
The two-day event promises something for everyone, from die-hard collectors and gamers to casual fans looking to soak up the atmosphere. This year’s headline guest is Gordon Cormier, best known for his breakout role as Aang in Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender.
With his natural charisma and heartfelt portrayal of Aang, Gordon has quickly become a fan favourite across global fandoms. Oz Comic-Con Adelaide will give fans the chance to see him live on stage for panels and Q&As and meet him in person for autographs and photo opportunities across the weekend.
Beyond the star power, the convention floor will be packed with immersive experiences. Expect interactive gaming zones, esports tournaments, tabletop gaming libraries and hands-on activities for all ages.

Cosplay will once again take centre stage, with everything from relaxed cosplay parades through to the prestigious Australian Championships of Cosplay. There’ll also be dedicated cosplay meetups, photographers on hand, and a vibrant Cosplay Central hub for fans to connect and show off their creations.
For those more creatively inclined, Artist Alley will showcase some of Australia’s leading illustrators, writers and makers, offering everything from custom commissions to unique art, jewellery and collectibles.
Elsewhere, the program includes workshops, live entertainment, lip sync battles, scavenger hunts and community spaces designed to celebrate diversity and inclusion within fandom culture.
Whether you’re into comics, gaming, anime, film or just keen for a fun day out, Oz Comic-Con Adelaide is shaping up to be one of the city’s biggest pop culture weekends of the year, with more guest announcements still to come.
