RawalPindiz have added New Zealand fast bowler Ben Sears to their squad as the team looks to reinforce its pace attack during 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11).
Sources said Sears is currently with the New Zealand A side in Sri Lanka and is expected to join the squad tomorrow, subject to clearance.
His signing comes at a time when RawalPindiz are dealing with injury concerns in their fast-bowling department. Naseem Shah has been sidelined after suffering a side injury in the team’s recent match against Karachi Kings, though sources said he remains with the squad and continues to be an important part of the campaign.
The pacer is expected to undergo further medical assessment on April 15, with team management hoping he can return later in the tournament if recovery goes according to plan.
Ben Sears is set for his first PSL stint and brings international experience with him. He has already featured in 27 T20Is for New Zealand and has taken 31 wickets in the format. He has also picked up 10 wickets in four ODIs.
While Ben Sears has not played extensively in franchise leagues, he did previously appear in Major League Cricket for Washington Freedom.
RawalPindiz, led by Mohammad Rizwan, have had a rough debut campaign in the PSL 11 with four defeats and zero wins so far. The team is scheduled to face Quetta Gladiators in their next PSL 11 fixture on April 10 at the National Stadium in Karachi.
