Jacinta Gulisano reflected on her time in the competition and the personal growth it brought, adding:

“I would often tell my mum I felt like I didn’t have a place in the world, but I finally feel like I have one.”

John Van Beek remained upbeat following his elimination, praising the experience and his fellow contestants, while Trè Samuels shared how much he had grown during his time on the show.

Meanwhile, judges Marcia Hines, Kyle Sandilands and Amy Shark continued to champion the departing artists, with Amy telling Trè:

“You have got so much ahead of you. It’s not the end, that’s all I want to say.”

The night also featured a special performance from Marcia Hines alongside the cast of her stage show Velvet Inferno, delivering a disco hit that brought the house to its feet.

With the Grand Finale now set, the remaining three will take to the stage once more as they compete for the title, a $100,000 prize and a recording package, alongside a lineup of major Australian music acts set to perform.

Australian Idol’s live Grand Finale continues 7.30 Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th April on Seven and 7plus.
