Multan Sultans Crush Winless RawalPindiz to Stay Top of PSL 11 Table

Multan Sultans continued their strong run in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) with a dominant seven-wicket win over RawalPindiz in the 14th match of the tournament at Gaddafi Stadium.

Chasing 183, Multan reached the target with 22 balls to spare, losing only three wickets in the process.

The chase began with an early setback as Mohammad Amir removed Steve Smith for just 5 in the second over. But that was the only major breakthrough RawalPindiz managed to enjoy for most of the innings.

Multan quickly took control through another commanding stand between Sahibzada Farhan and Josh Philippe, who added 110 runs for the second wicket and put the result well within reach.

Philippe played a brisk knock of 56 off 30 balls, hitting six fours and three sixes, before falling to a slower ball from Amir in the 12th over.

Farhan followed soon after, but not before giving Multan another major push with 68 off 36 deliveries, including five sixes and four fours.

After the departure of both set batters, Ashton Turner and Shan Masood finished the chase without any trouble. The pair added an unbeaten 47-run partnership, with Masood making 27 off 15 balls and Turner scoring 26 not out from just 10 balls.

For RawalPindiz, Mohammad Amir was the standout bowler with 2 for 32, while Mohammad Amir Khan claimed one wicket.

Earlier, RawalPindiz posted 182/8 after being asked to bat first, thanks largely to a fighting half-century from Sam Billings and some late hitting in the lower middle order.

Their innings got off to an unsteady start when Yasir Khan was dismissed for 5 with only 15 runs on the board.

Captain Muhammad Rizwan then added 19, while Kamran Ghulam helped rebuild the innings with 35 off 24 balls, striking three fours and two sixes.

Ghulam also stitched together useful partnerships with Abdullah Fazal and Daryl Mitchell, but RawalPindiz struggled to build one long stand through the middle overs.

The most important contribution came from Sam Billings, who remained unbeaten on 56 off 34 balls. His innings included seven fours and one six, and gave RawalPindiz a competitive total.

He also found support from Dian Forrester, who made a quick 24 off 11 balls with three sixes, adding valuable runs late in the innings.

However, the key bowling performance came from Faisal Akram, who returned figures of 4 for 31 in four overs and broke the backbone of the RawalPindiz batting effort.

Arafat Minhas picked up two wickets, while Peter Siddle and Muhammad Ismail took one each.

The result keeps Multan Sultans firmly at the top of the PSL 11 points table, while RawalPindiz remain under pressure after another defeat.
