Pakistan’s Asim Khan has qualified for the World Squash Championship after winning the Asian Qualifier event held in Hong Kong from April 1 to April 4, 2026.
Asim Khan secured his place in the championship by claiming victory in the World Championship Asian Qualifier tournament. In the final match, he defeated Malaysia’s Joachim Chua with a close scoreline of 3–2.
The match scores were 3–11, 11–13, 11–9, 11–3, and 10–12.
Earlier in the tournament, Asim Khan advanced through tough matches, including a five-game win in the quarterfinal and another 3–2 victory in the semifinal.
Asim Khan, whose full name is Muhammad Asim Khan, is a right-handed player from Lahore, Pakistan. His career-high PSA world ranking is No. 53, achieved in October 2022, and he is currently ranked within the top 100.
In September 2024, Khan won his first PSA World Tour title at the Charlottesville Open, becoming the first Pakistani in nearly 20 years to secure an event title.
His latest qualification underlines his strong form and adds another notable achievement for Pakistan on the international squash circuit.
