Three people have been hospitalised — including one man who had to be freed from his car — after a two-car crash.

Emergency services were called to Amy Street in Regents Park, Sydney’s southwest, about 12.40am on Sunday following reports of the crash.

A 32-year-old man, the driver of a grey sedan, was trapped in his car after it was rear-ended.

Images from the scene show a silver hatchback behind the sedan with significant front-end damage.

A passenger in the hatchback — a man aged in his 30s — suffered facial injuries and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The hatchback’s driver — a 30-year-old woman — returned a positive roadside breath test.

She was also taken to hospital in a stable condition for treatment and mandatory testing.

Investigations are underway.
