Vivo X300s Offers Big Battery and Pro-Level Camera at a Cheaper Price

Vivo has introduced the Vivo X300s alongside the X300 Ultra, positioning it between the smaller X300 and the higher-end X300 Pro in its lineup.

The device offers a mix of flagship-level hardware with a different camera setup compared to the Pro model.

Design and Display

The Vivo X300s features a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 10-bit color support. It uses an LTPO panel (BOE Q10 Plus) with a 144Hz refresh rate, making it nearly identical to the X300 Pro display, except for the absence of Dolby Vision.

The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and includes an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. It also features symmetrical 1511 dual speakers and a customized vibration motor rated at 1.1Grms with a 40ms start-stop response.

Connectivity includes a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, Wi-Fi 7 with dual-band support, Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX, NFC, and dual-band satellite positioning. It comes in Titanium Black, Silver, Dream Core Purple, and Film Green.

Internals and Software

The X300s is powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset, the same processor used in the X300 Pro. It is supported by a large vapor chamber and a graphite sheet to improve heat dissipation and sustain performance.

The chipset is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X quad-channel RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone also includes Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip to handle camera-related processing.

Cameras

The Vivo X300s uses a triple rear camera setup that differs from the X300 Pro. The main camera features a 200MP 1/1.4-inch Samsung HPB sensor paired with an f/1.68 Zeiss lens. The telephoto camera uses a 50MP 1/1.95-inch Sony Lytia 602 sensor with an f/2.57 Zeiss APO lens. The ultra-wide camera uses a 50MP 1/2.76-inch Samsung JN1 sensor with an f/2.0 lens and autofocus.

The front camera also features a 50MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens and a 92-degree field of view.

The phone supports an optional Zeiss G2 teleconverter lens through a Photography Kit, extending the focal length to an equivalent of 200mm. The kit also includes a dedicated case and mounting plate.

Battery and Pricing

The Vivo X300s is equipped with a 7,100mAh fourth-generation silicon-carbon battery. It supports 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.

The device is currently available for pre-order in China, with open sales beginning on April 3.

The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at $720, while the 12GB/512GB model costs $800. The 16GB/512GB version is priced at $870, and the 16GB/1TB model is listed at $1,010. A bundled 16GB/1TB version with the Photographer Kit is priced at $1,160.
