Soon-to-air TV anime NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE has a new “secret” trailer and a visual drawn by illustrator and animator Ochiaki. They shine a spotlight onto the character Ame-chan, who is seen undergoing dark experiences in the former, and who declares in both that “there is no God.”
Ame is the central character of the original NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE (also known as NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD) game, being the real person behind streaming personality OMGkawaiiAngel whom the player character is the producer of. The anime credits continue to remain coy about Ame’s voice actor.

NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE will begin airing on April 4 at 24:30 JST (effectively April 5 at 12:30 JST), and will be part of Crunchyroll’s Spring 2026 anime slate. Crunchyroll’s synopsis reads:
In a world where likes are currency and every viewer is a judge, OMGkawaiiAngel—also known as KAngel—is determined to become the ultimate “Internet Angel.” Yet beneath her pastel smile and lively streams, there’s more than meets the eye.
The original “multi-ending DV” was first released in 2022 on Steam. It came to Nintendo Switch later that year, and launched on PlayStation 4 and 5 in 2025. Steam lists WSS playground and xemono as the developers.
The TV anime will introduce a group of characters who form the Karamasov unit.
NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE has previously inspired official animated shorts. A 4-koma manga drawn by Kokamumo will launch on the same day as the TV anime on social media.
