Karisma Kapoor’s Studio Medium ensemble comes together panel by panel

For an event in Jodhpur, Karisma Kapoor wore a blue-and-black Studio Medium look, styled by Ami Patel. Made from textile scraps borrowed from previous seasons, both the shirt and skirt were composed panel by panel through the label’s boro-inspired process. The result is a surface built through shifts in tone, texture and pattern, rather than one continuous fabric.

The shirt keeps a clean, buttoned shape, but its construction becomes clearer up close, where overlapping sections and tonal variation break up the blue base. The skirt extends the same patchwork language in broader panels, with striped and printed fragments arranged across the flare. Together, the two pieces hold on to the irregularity of their making instead of trying to smooth it out.

Patel styled the look with silver teardrop earrings from Ishhaara and black open-toe heels. Her hair was styled sleek and side-parted, while Divya Arth Shetty picked up on the blue in the outfit with for the eye makeup, pairing it with sculpted brows, a hint of blush and a nude lip.

“Add a black obi belt around the hips to add a drop-waist effect to the look,” says Manglien Gangte, Vogue India fashion associate.
