From forest-inspired pre-wedding rituals to a Met Gala-inspired sangeet, this wedding in Malaysia was a symphony of style and splendour.

From forest-inspired pre-wedding rituals to a Met Gala-inspired sangeet, this wedding in Malaysia was a symphony of style and splendour.

Rishita Maddey, an entrepreneur and Neerav Valiram, scion of the Valiram Group, a luxury retail group, tied the knot in Kuala Lumpur in a celebration where every moment was crafted with vision and artistry, brought alive by the creative brilliance of WeddingSutra Favorite – The A-Cube Project. With their signature flair for detail and storytelling, the team transformed each event into an immersive experience, seamlessly weaving together themes that reflected the couple’s personalities, dreams, and love story. From intimate rituals to grand spectacles, each setting carried a distinct identity, yet was tied together by an overarching sense of elegance and refinement.

The festivities began with the Janya, envisioned as a sacred forest brought to life with pastel blooms, lush greenery, and Indo-contemporary prints. A soothing summer sorbet palette of yellow, peach, pink, and green created a spiritual haven where ombré theatre seating, tree installations, and forest-inspired florals set the tone for a serene start to the wedding journey.

The mood then shifted into a fairytale at the Misri, where Rishita’s love for dreamy, romantic settings met Neerav’s penchant for understated luxury. A palette of lilac, purple, pink, and white cascaded across the space with plush velvet seating, intricate table settings, and chandeliers casting a soft, romantic glow, evoking the warmth of an eternal promise.

The Ghari ceremony drew inspiration from the colors of sunrise, symbolising a new dawn. Shades of pink and orange, accentuated with hints of red pomegranates, infused vibrancy into the setting. Indo-contemporary prints, vibrant florals, and custom-printed cushions lent an intimate, celebratory charm to the ritual, bringing together family and blessings.

Moving into a more playful atmosphere, the Mehendi unfolded as a luxe poolside paradise. Inspired by upscale beach clubs, the space featured rope-style cabanas, rustic sun umbrellas, sun loungers, and neutral tones of beige, brown, and green, all of which came together to create a relaxed yet stylish vibe.
As evening descended, the Sangeet sparkled with Met Gala-inspired glamour and theatrical opulence. An ombré palette of deep reds, dusty pinks, black, and rose gold came alive with surreal reflective surfaces, luxe velvet drapes, and whimsical dim lighting. Bars styled as a mix of vintage speakeasy and modern luxe added to the decadence.

The wedding and final reception carried the theme of The Scarlet Serenade, inspired by roses and the ethereal ‘Fleur de Lune’. Marsala, beige, and red hues with accents of black set the stage for an opulent and romantic ceremony. Fluted panels, glowing lights, and lush floral mounds as centrepieces created a celestial, dreamlike setting, while fine cutlery and luxurious plate settings reflected grandeur.

The following evening, the Reception Dinner was designed around the philosophy of Yin & Yang, symbolising balance and the couple’s complementary personalities. Shades of black, grey, and white with silver accents embodied luxury and sophistication, with custom linens, floral-draped tables, and sleek lighting merging contemporary minimalism with indulgent glamour.
