The TV anime adaptation of The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for The Throne light novel series will start airing this July. A teaser visual has been released.

The anime‘s cast includes Yuma Uchida as Arnold Lakes Aadler, Kikunosuke Toya as Leonardo Lake Aadler, Manaka Iwami as Finne Von Kleinert, Maya Uchida as Elna Von Kleinert, and Kaede Hondo as Lynphia. Yuji Yanase (The World’s Strongest Rearguard: Labyrinth Country’s Novice Seeker) is directing The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for The Throne at MAHO FILM with character designs from Kazuko Tadano (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos).

The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for The Throne (Saikyo Degarashi Oji no Anyaku Teii Arasoi) light novels are written by Tanba and illustrated by Yunagi. The synopsis from KADOKAWA’s Bookwalker Global, which has both the light novels and the manga by Yukino Amagai in English, reads:
Arnold is a lethargic prince who is ridiculed by the entire empire as an “insipid” runner. But in fact, he is the most powerful prince with a secret identity as Silver, an SS-grade adventurer who manipulates forbidden ancient magic! The story of the strongest prince who plays the role of an incompetent, and his secret struggle for the throne begins!
The light novel series, which is published under the Sneaker Bunko label/imprint in Japan, debuted in September 2019 and will release its 16th main volume on April 1, 2026 (JST). The story previously started serialization as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in February 2019.
