The 79-year-old husband of Sharon Fulton is likely to spend the rest of his life in prison after being found guilty of her murder more than four decades ago.
Raymond Reddington was on Monday sentenced over the disappearance of the 39-year-old mother of four, who was last seen in March 1986.
She was last seen dropping off her then three-year-old son Heath in the Perth industrial hub of Wangara and was due to attend a party at a friend’s house but never appeared.

The case ran cold until the coroner’s office received a fake confession letter in 2021, DNA testing revealed it was sealed with Reddington’s saliva.
Reddington was convicted last month after being charged with one count of wilful murder in October 2023.
“It is the only thing we pretty much live for, to bring her home” Heath said outside court on Monday after watching his father’s sentencing.
“We have much still left to do in trying to find our mother and that’s our priority: to keep focusing on that search for her final resting place.”
WA Police said the investigation would not end with Reddington’s conviction.
“Those who believe time has protected them are mistaken,” acting inspector Jessica Securo of the Major Crime Division said. “Western Australia Police will continue to pursue offenders, no matter how long it takes.”
“Mrs Fulton’s family deserve answers and that’s why we are appealing for the public’s assistance. You could hold the key piece of vital information detectives need to bring this to a resolution.
“This case reflects the enduring commitment of the Western Australia Police Force to pursue justice for serious crimes, regardless of the passage of time.”
Reddington will be eligible for parole in 20 years, but the court was told he was suffering from bile duct cancer and may have just 18 months to live.
