The upcoming Nippon Sangoku TV anime, about a near-future Japan trapped in a new Three Kingdoms era, has gotten its third trailer and a “special visual” ahead of its April premiere.
It was also announced that the show’s ending song will be “Chikai” by Leina, and that the following voice actors will be part of the cast:

Nippon Sangoku will make its streaming debut on April 5 through Prime Video, which is also exclusively streaming the anime outside Japan (it will premiere on Japanese TV on April 6 at 24:00 JST, or effectively April 7 at 1:00 JST). The synopsis of the anime, which adapts the manga by Ikka Matsuki, reads:
In a near-future Japan where civilization has regressed due to nuclear war, natural disasters, and corrupt governance.
The nation fractures into three, plunging into a new Three Kingdoms era as each vies for supremacy.
Aoteru Misumi, once an obscure local bureaucrat, sets his sights on the reunification of Japan.
Armed with vast knowledge and exceptional eloquence, he steadily rises.
The legend of the man later known as the prodigious strategist begins now.
The manga began in November 2021 and has six volumes as of 2024. It is serialized on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE.
