Woman charged in fatal South Boston stabbing

Gisselle Pascual, 24, faces manslaughter and assault charges, police said.

A woman is accused of fatally stabbing a man inside a South Boston apartment Friday evening, Boston police said.

Gisselle Pascual, 24, is charged with manslaughter, Boston police said in a press release.

Police were called Friday evening for a person stabbed at 258 Old Colony Ave. Officers found a man suffering from a stab wound, the department said. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he died the next day, police said.

Pascual was initially charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, but police upgraded the charges to manslaughter after the victim died, the department said.

Pascual will be arraigned in South Boston District Court, police said.

Attorney information for Pascual was not publicly available Sunday night.
