Tune In to the Midnight Heart Season 2 Unveils Teaser Visual & Announcement Video

A teaser visual and announcement video for the second season of Tune In to the Midnight Heart have been unveiled. Season two of the series was first announced earlier this week, but no premiere date was confirmed, as of the time of writing.

The anime premiered in Japan on January 6, 2026 and ran for 12 episodes until March 24, 2026. It was the first title to air in Kansai Television and Fuji TV’s new late-night anime slot Kaanival 11. 

Masayuki Takahashi (Butareba -The Story of a Man Turned into a Pig) directed the anime series, with Yukie Sugawara (Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again) as series composer and Tomoyuki Shitaya (2.5 Dimensional Seduction) as character designer. Gekkou was in charge of the animation production.

Minori Homura (Isekai Onsen Paradise character designer), Yurika Someya, Akihiro Kikuchi, and Mikitail are credited as sub-character designers. 

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars:

  • • Momoko Seto as singer Rikka Inohana 
  • • Rumi Okubo as voice actor Nene Himekawa
  • • Sayumi Suzushiro as VTuber Iko Kirino

The romantic comedy manga series (also known in Japanese as Mayonaka Heart Tune) by Masakuni Igarashi began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine on September 20, 2023, and has released 12 tankobon volumes as of March 2026. A 13th volume will be released in Japan on May 15, 2026. Kodansha USA licensed the manga series for English print release and it is released digitally in English on Kodansha’s K MANGA app service.

Crunchyroll is streaming the Tune In to the Midnight Heart anime in select countries and territories worldwide. It describes the main synopsis as: 

When Arisu Yamabuki was all alone in bed at night, he was able to find solace in the voice of a radio host who went by “Apollo.” However, one day, she simply stopped broadcasting without any explanation. Years then passed, and Arisu is now a second-year high-schooler. He makes it his mission to search for Apollo, as there is something he wants to tell her. He doesn’t know what she looks like, or even what her real name is, but he manages to get some leads on her in his school’s broadcasting club. That’s where he meets four girls who all dream to get a job where they can make full use of their voices! Just who is Apollo, and how will those four’s dreams pan out?
