The Irregular at Magic High School: Yotsuba Succession Arc reveals trailer, third key visual, and theme song artist during AnimeJapan 2026. The movie will premiere in theaters in Japan on May 8, 2026.

LISA is returning to sing the main theme song, “Yes,” for the movie. She sang the first opening theme song, “Rising Hope,” for the first season of The Irregular at Magic High School anime sereis.
It was first announced in December 2024 and was expected to be released in Winter 2025 before Aniplex delayed it to a 2026 release date in September 2025.
The Irregular at Magic High School is a light novel series written by Tsutomu Sato and illustrated by Kana Ishida. It was first published as a web novel series on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2008 before being published as a light novel series under Dengeki Bunko Light from July 2011 to December 2020 with a total of 32 volumes. It inspired a spin-off light novel series, TV anime series, films, and manga adaptation. It also has a sequel titled, The Irregular Magic High School Maidens of Cygnus.
Yen Press has licensed and is publishing the light novel in English, describing it as:
