Two new cast members and another key visual have been revealed for the upcoming second season of Little Shark’s Day Out during AnimeJapan 2026. The second season will begin broadcasting on Japanese television on April 12, 2026, and will also stream on YouTube on the same day.

The new cast members include Shiori Izawa as Yoko Tamamo (left) and Ryota Suzuki as Dhurandaru (right).
They join a previously announced voice cast that stars:
- • Kana Hanazawa as Kozame-chan
- • Megumi Han as Anko-chan
- • Misaki Kuno as Usame-chan
- • Karin Takahashi as Kitsune-chan
Chihiro Kumano (The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei) is directing the second season, with Hiroaki Nagashima (returning from season one and Eiga Odekake Kozame Tokai no Otomodachi) as scriptwriter, and Ayumi Takeuchi as character designer. ENGI is in charge of the animation production.
The first season of Little Shark’s Day Out was released from August 2023 to May 2024. The series also inspired an anime film titled Eiga Odekake Kozame Tokai no Otomodachi that was screened in Japanese theaters on August 22, 2025.
Penguin Box’s manga series (also known in Japan as Odekake Kozame) was first released as a web comic on Twitter/X in June 2021. It was later published in Enterbrain’s Aokishi magazine on October 20, 2021. Eight tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of July 2025.

All episodes of Little Shark’s Day Out are streaming on the short anime’s YouTube channel with English subtitles.
Little Shark’s Day Out follows the everyday adventures of the titular shark character named Kozame-chan.
