The Socceroos return to home soil tonight with World Cup spots, pride and momentum all on the line as the countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026 ramps up.
Hot on the heels of the AFC Asian Women’s Cup, where our Matildas fell just short against a dominant Japan, focus now shifts to the men’s side as they build towards their next global campaign.
The CommBank Socceroos face Cameroon at Accor Stadium tonight in the opening FIFA Series fixture, marking the final home matches before the tournament and a key chance to settle combinations.

The fixture also coincides with a reunion of the 2005 World Cup qualification squad, linking a defining moment in Australian football with the current campaign under coach Tony Popovic.
Coverage begins at 7.30pm AEDT in NSW, VIC, ACT and TAS, 7.00pm ACDT in Adelaide, 6.00pm ACST in the Northern Territory, and 4.30pm AWST in WA on 10 Drama, with kick off at 8.10pm AEDT.
