The Idolmaster franchise’s Miki Hoshii, who debuted in 2007 with the franchise’s first console release, is set to put on a solo performance at Anime Central 2026.
The “solo showcase” is named THE FUTURE SPOTLIGHT and will take place on May 15 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center and Hyatt Regency O’Hare.

Anime Central previously announced that Hoshii’s voice actor, along with the voice actors for fellow franchise members Chihaya Kisaragi, Takane Shijo, Rin Shibuya, Uzuki Shimamura, and Miho Kohinata, would perform a free-to-attend concert, also on May 15. The convention describes this as “the first standalone concert for the series in North America, the first US performance by members of the original group 765PRO (pronounced Na-mu-co Pro) ALLSTARS, and the first appearance of each member of the group CINDERELLA GIRLS, whose brand last attended a US event in 2018 with a different lineup.”
Hoshii is voiced by Akiko Hasegawa.
In the setting of the Bandai Namco Entertainment franchise, Hoshii, Kisaragi, and Shijo are part of the 765 Production agency, while Shibuya, Shimamura, and Kohinata (who all debuted via the 2011 social media game The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls) are with 346 Production. Kisaragi appeared on the popular YouTube music channel The First Take last November and put on a solo concert at the Budokan in January of this year.
The Idolmaster (stylized as THE iDOLM@STER) began with a 2005 arcade game that was ported to the Xbox 360 in 2007. The anime in the franchise include 2007’s Idolmaster: Xenoglossia, 2011’s The Idolmaster, 2015’s The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, 2017’s The Idolmaster SideM, Spring 2023’s The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls U149, and 2023’s The Idolmaster Million Live!, and 2024’s The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors.
