Mumbai Police arrests 14th accused from agra in Rohit Shetty house firing case

Mumbai Crime Branch, in a joint operation with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF), has arrested the 14th accused in the firing incident at filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence. The accused, Pradeep Sharma alias Golu, was arrested from Agra in Uttar Pradesh.

The arrest comes in connection with the sensational firing that took place on the night of February 1–2, 2026, at Shetty’s Mumbai residence, ‘Shetty Tower’. The attack was allegedly carried out by members of the notorious Shubham Lonkar gang, with the intent to spread fear in the film industry and extort money from both industry figures and the public.

According to police, Pradeep Sharma, 23, was caught following a tip-off. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, STF and Mumbai Crime Branch teams surrounded and captured him.

During interrogation, Sharma revealed that he was influenced by social media posts of the Shubham Lonkar gang on platforms like Facebook and Instagram and decided to join the gang to establish his dominance. He admitted to being involved in previous firing incidents along with his associates. Police records indicate that he had earlier been arrested in a separate case involving possession of illegal weapons and had served time in jail.

Further investigation revealed that Sharma’s associate, Shivam Dubey, a resident of Mahavir Nagar under the Bah police station limits in Agra, had informed him about the plan to execute the attack. Sharma carried out the firing on Dubey’s instructions.

Officials said several other accused involved in the case had already been arrested on February 15, 2026. Sharma had been on the run since then, frequently changing locations to evade arrest.

After his arrest, Sharma was produced before a court in Agra and has been handed over to the Mumbai Crime Branch on transit remand for further legal proceedings. Police said that efforts are ongoing to dismantle the entire network of the Lonkar gang, and more revelations are expected in the coming days.
