Tokyopop announced today that the first volume of Moyori Mori’s Bride of Ignat Boys’ Love manga series will arrive on April 28, 2026. The manga will receive a paperback, hardcover, and digital release under the publisher’s LoveLove imprint.
Additionally, a special edition of the manga’s first volume will be available exclusively from Kinokuniya Bookstores in the U.S., which includes an exclusive variant cover and a bonus shikishi artboard illustration drawn by Mori (only available while supplies last). Pre-orders for this edition are expected to begin in early April.
Mori launched the manga series on ShuCream’s from RED online magazine on June 16, 2023. A single tankobon volume has been released in Japan as of December 2024.
Tokyopop describes the main synopsis of Bride of Ignat as:
“If life is meaningless no matter where you are…” Rita, a lonely boy, is chosen as the “Dragon’s Bride” by the village custom. The ancient legend of the “Snowy Mountain Dragon” is now nothing more than a legend, but Rita, unable to find his role in the village, accepts the sacrifice while realizing that it is to reduce the number of mouths to feed. Mori’s Boys’ Love one-shot manga Touch Within the Abyss has also been licensed and published in English by Tokyopop under the LoveLove imprint.
