A unique and charming celebration—the best way to describe Chandravarshini and Arthesh Ramamoorthy’s wedding in Chennai. Planned thoughtfully by WeddingSutra Favorite – Spize Weddings and Events, the celebrations saw the presence of distinguished guests including the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin. Starting with the mehendi where guests were kept engaged from the start, a grand couple entry for the reception, and vibrant dances at the wedding, each function had its unique charm.

Reema Thakkar Tiwari of Spize Weddings and Events says, “Chandravarshini, from Chennai, and Arthesh, from Madurai, are a delightful pair whose personalities beautifully blend South Indian traditions. From our very first meeting, we felt an instant connection with them. While they weren’t entirely certain of what they envisioned initially, our team guided them with ideas that aligned perfectly with their vision, making the journey toward their dream wedding seamless and memorable.”
She added, “This celebration was truly a family affair, with the couple and their families contributing inspiration for every detail. This collaborative approach allowed us to craft a wedding that honored their South Indian roots while infusing elements of royal sophistication. The design team curated a bespoke concept that elegantly balanced traditional charm with contemporary elegance.”
Wedding Functions
Mehendi
The mehendi was a burst of pink. From bougainvillea to flamingo installations, every shade of pink balanced the greens. The bride, also in pink, was striking in this vibrant atmosphere, with the groom complementing her in a embroidered white ensemble. Fun family sessions, a live sketch artist, henna artists and a life-sized snakes and ladder game had the guests engaged and in splits.
Reception
The reception enjoyed a décor of crystal chandeliers amidst a canopy of lavenders. The groom entered in a plush vintage car and the couple were led to the stage by a group of dancers. The evening saw a host of political dignitaries from Tamil Nadu, including the state CM MK Stalin.
Wedding
The wedding was a traditional affair. The mandap was covered in traditional flower arrangements. Dancers heralded the bride’s entry to the mandap for the main ceremony. Traditional brass-colored statues, especially of the gods, added the sense of sacredness to the day’s proceedings.
