With nerves high and Kyle Sandilands dressed like he had a job interview at Lowes afterwards, Australian Idol delivered another tense night as the Top 10 was revealed.
After Australia cast its votes for the first time this season, the competition narrowed again with two contestants departing the stage as the Top 10 lineup was confirmed.
Monday night’s episode saw Lily Grace Grant and Sophie Poidevin eliminated after landing in the bottom four alongside Harry Lamb and Kesha Oayda following the performance shows.

Before the verdict was revealed, the Top 12 joined forces for an upbeat performance of their single All Night Long, which has already climbed into the Top 10 on iTunes.
Country singer Lily Grace leaned into her roots with a lively take on Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd, while Harry tackled the Oasis anthem Don’t Look Back in Anger.
Kesha impressed with Sam Smith’s Lay Me Down, and Sophie delivered a confident rendition of What a Man, earning a standing ovation from the judges.
Judges Marcia Hines, Kyle Sandilands and Amy Shark praised the strength of the remaining field, acknowledging the competition is now firmly in the hands of viewers.
Kyle Sandilands was particularly vocal when Kesha and Sophie found themselves at risk, declaring it was “upsetting” and “disappointing” to see them in the bottom two.

After her elimination, Lily Grace thanked those who supported her journey and remained optimistic about what comes next.
“This is not the end of my musical journey, this is just the beginning.”
Sophie also reflected on her experience on the show, encouraging aspiring performers to back themselves.
“I got to live my dreams on this stage.”
It should be noted the series appears to be making a stronger push this year to help successful contestants break through the industry and create genuine stars, with alumni like host Ricki-Lee Coulter and Guy Sebastian, who performed on Sunday night, highlighting the show’s legacy.
The winner will receive $100,000, a recording package with Hive Sound Studios, a songwriting camp with Sony Music Publishing, marketing support from The Annex, and VIP access to the ARIAs and TV WEEK Logie Awards.
With the Top 10 now confirmed, the remaining contestants continue their push for the title of Australian Idol 2026.
Australian Idol continues Sunday at 7.00pm and Monday at 7.30pm on Seven and 7plus.
