The previously delayed BL romantic comedy anime Go For It, Nakamura! has gotten a main trailer, a couple of weeks ahead of its April 1, 24:30 JST (effectively April 2 at 12:30 JST) broadcast premiere.
The new trailer highlights the titular Nakamura’s intense crush on cute classmate Hirose, the lineup of supporting characters (some of whom are perceived as romantic rivals by Nakamura), and newly announced opening song “Shunpatsuteki ni Koishiyo.” The song is sung by Yasuyuki Okamura and Kento Nakajima.
Go For It, Nakamura! is an adaptation of the manga by Syundei. Yen Press describes the manga’s synopsis as such:
A hilarious Boys’ Love manga about one young man’s attempts to keep it together in front of his crush by the creator of Total Eclipse of the Eternal Heart!
Nakamura is a shy boy who falls in love at first sight with one of his classmates–his dreamy high school classmate, Hirose. But there’s a problem: they haven’t met yet. And Nakamura is a total klutz who might bungle things before they even begin!
The Go For It, Nakamura! manga was originally serialized in Akaneshinsha’s Opera and had a single volume released in May 2017. It was followed by a sequel titled Go For It Again, Nakamura! (Motto Ganbare! Nakamura-kun), and also received a Hero’s-published shinsoban version.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime.
