Three new voice cast members and premiere dates have been announced for the upcoming I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too anime TV special.
The TV special will be streamed a day early on Fuji on Demand and the FOD Channel for Prime Video in Japan on March 29, 2026. It will then broadcast on Japanese television on March 30, 2026.
Additionally, the three new cast members for the TV special includes Kenta Miyake as Gilbert, Shigeru Chiba as Oma, and Marina Inoue as an undisclosed character who is listed as “??.”
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Yuya Tenjo, Akari Kito as Kaori Hojo, and Kaori Maeda as Lexia
Shin Itagaki (I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World chief director and series composer, So I’m a Spider, So What? director) is directing the TV special at Millepensee, with Hiromi Kimura (reprising) as character designer.
A TV anime series was released from April to June 2023, with Crunchyroll streaming it in select countries and territories worldwide. A “new anime project” was announced that same year, with the TV special format being announced in March 2025.
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World is based on the Fantasia Bunko light novel series, written by Miku and illustrated by Rein Kuwashima. It was first published under KADOKAWA’s Fantasia Bunko imprint on December 20, 2018. Nineteen volumes have been published in Japan as of October 2025, with a 20th volume set to be released on March 19, 2026. The series began as a web novel on Kakuyomu in 2017.
The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation and several spinoff titles.

Yen Press licensed the light novels and manga for English release. It describes the main synopsis of the former as:
A mysterious door stands open, inviting a boy who’s been brutally bullied all his life to take a courageous step forward into the unknown. On the other side, he finds a hoard of priceless artifacts and a world as filled with magic as it is with monsters.
