Adelaide Fringe Review: INFERNO – Glam Adelaide

Adelaide Fringe Review: INFERNO – Glam Adelaide

INFERNO is bold, chaotic and undeniably fun, and its only fault is leaving us wanting more.

If you’re looking for a Fringe show that quite literally brings the heat, INFERNO delivers a fast-paced night of fire, spectacle and cheeky cabaret energy.

Hosted by the charismatic Mx Burlesque Melbourne 2025 Clara Fable, the show kicks off with plenty of crowd hype. Working the room with playful confidence, the cast begin the show walking through the crowd before ending on stage and giving a glimpse and tease of what’s to come.

From there, INFERNO launches into a rotating lineup of fire performers, each delivering short but striking acts. Flames spin and flicker through the air in impressive displays of control and flair, all backed by music and flashing lights that transform the tent into a glowing playground of fire.

A few moments stand out visually, including a performer with a flaming guitar, a spinning circle of flames, a flaming hula hoop and one act igniting bubbles on her herself.

The acts come thick and fast, sometimes almost too quickly. Many routines feel short, leaving you wanting a little more before the next performer appears. Some feeling as if the climax of their performance is short-lived. Still, the rapid-fire format keeps the energy high and the crowd engaged.

By now the tent is well and truly hot, music tempo has picked up, lights are flashing, and anticipation is building for the finale.

Emcee Clara Fable returns throughout the show with bursts of comedy and just before the final act she goes back to her burlesque roots with a singing performance full of crowd interaction and playful teasing.

The show builds toward a fiery finale with the headlining performer drawing audible gasps and cheers from the audience.

Following the finale all performers gather on stage for one last thrilling escalation of fire tricks, fire swallowing and the always spectacular fire spitting.

By the end, the tent feels noticeably warmer and the crowd is buzzing. INFERNO is bold, chaotic and undeniably fun, and its only fault is leaving us wanting more.
