The Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) has granted a special Rs. 1.2 crore salary cap increase to Multan Sultans, formerly Sialkot Stallionz, as the league officially opens transfer window.
Along with the increased salary cap, PSL has also allowed Multan Sultans to make two additional signings, after the league cited the “exceptional circumstances” surrounding the franchise’s acquisition.
The decision was made with the agreement of the other PSL franchises, giving Multan extra room to strengthen their roster ahead of the new season. With the added signings, the Sultans’ maximum squad size has been increased to 22 players.
Despite the expanded squad limit, the franchise will still follow the league’s standard matchday rule. Like the rest of the teams, Multan can only name a 20-player matchday squad.
The development comes as the PSL 11 transfer window has opened, allowing franchises to complete player moves under league rules and salary cap conditions until Wednesday, 18 March.
The Multan Sultans has been busy strengthening its squad ahead of the 2026 season with the signing two exciting new local fast bowlers, Muhammad Ismail and Arshad Iqbal.
It remains to be seen what two new signings will the Multan Sultans make ahead of the 2026 PSL season as they look to capture their second PSL title.
