Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Kevin McBirney, Bridgewater State
Graduate, E. Bridgewater, Mass.
McBirney captured top honors in the 800-meter run at the Tufts Final Qualifier with a time of 1:51.98. His winning time, converted to 1:50.41 for track size, is tied for sixth in all of Division III as he earned a spot at the NCAA Division III Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.

Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Liam Bourassa, Fitchburg State
Senior, Shirley, Mass.
Bourassa placed fifth overall in the weight throw with a toss of 17.24 meters for the Falcons at the 2026 All-New England Championships on Friday before finishing first overall in the weight throw with a mark of 17.85 meters and fourth in the shotput with a toss of 15.53 meters for the Green and Gold at the 2026 Tufts National Qualifier on Saturday.

Paulino Guevara Mateo, Fitchburg State
Freshman, Cambridge, Mass.
Mateo finished first overall in 5000 meter with new school record time of 14:27.90 for the Falcons at the 2026 All-New England Championships, surpassing his break record time he set earlier this season.
