CASTING | Apply to marry a returning MAFS star in new spin off

Ever fancied marrying a reality TV veteran at first sight? A new Married at First Sight spin off is now casting everyday singles willing to take the plunge.

Second Marriage at First Sight will reunite eight returning participants from the franchise, four from the UK and four from Australia, but the people they marry will be brand new to the experiment.

The international twist will see British hopefuls matched with Australian partners, while Aussie applicants could find themselves paired with a returning UK MAFS favourite.

A casting notice for the new series encourages singles ready for a bold romantic gamble to put themselves forward.

“Second Marriage at First Sight will see four British MAFS legends and four Australian MAFS favourites return to the experiment.”

The catch is, participants must also be open to the possibility of relocating to the other side of the world if love takes hold, should anyone actually find it.

The project comes from UK based CPL Productions, the company behind Married at First Sight UK, which airs on Channel 4’s entertainment channel E4 and is also available to stream in Australia on 9Now.

No Australian broadcaster has been announced for Second Marriage at First Sight, though it would likely land on Nine given the involvement of returning Married at First Sight Australia contestants.

Applications are currently open to anyone aged 18 or over, with casting running until 31 July 2026.
