Hollywood’s biggest night is heading back to Australian screens, with Seven rolling out live and free coverage of the 98th Oscars.
The global awards spectacle returns with a full morning of coverage from Los Angeles, bringing the red carpet, ceremony and backstage moments to local viewers as the film industry crowns its latest winners.
Disappointingly for viewers outside the eastern states, the network has again opted for delayed broadcasts, meaning some Australians may need to dodge Oscars spoilers during the day.

Returning to host after last year’s ceremony is Emmy Award winning television host, writer, producer and comedian Conan O’Brien, with presenters including Will Arnett, Adrien Brody, Javier Bardem, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kieran Culkin, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Anne Hathaway, Paul Mescal, Demi Moore and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Australian talent will also feature prominently, with Rose Byrne and Jacob Elordi both scoring their first Oscar nominations, alongside musician Nick Cave and production designer Fiona Crombie.
The broadcast continues Seven’s role as Australia’s home of the Oscars after securing exclusive local rights to the ceremony through to 2028.
Coverage begins early with Sunrise crossing live to the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood from 5.30am AEDT, with Seven reporter Mylee Hogan capturing the arrivals before the Oscars Red Carpet Live at 9.30am AEDT and the ceremony from 10.00am AEDT.
The 98th Oscars Red Carpet Live begins at 9.30am AEDT on Monday 16 March on Seven, followed by the 98th Oscars ceremony live from 10.00am AEDT on Seven and 7plus.
