Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi says, “The policy assurances given to us in our Parliament, during Question Hour, ministers say that we have stock reserves for 72 days and that we will be able to handle any global disruption. However, when a real global disruption occurs, it becomes clear that the planning was hollow. It was stated on the floor of the House that we have oil and crude reserves for 72 days, but when the problem actually arose during the Iran–Israel conflict, it was said that only 25 days of stock reserves were available. How can there be such a huge difference? Clearly, there has been a lack of planning.”
