MASCAC Softball Weekly Awards 3/9
Hannah Burton and Mikale Lemons of Mass. Maritime along with Makenna Lovelette of Anna Maria take home the first MASCAC Softball Player, Rookie and Pitcher of the Week honors of the year.
Player of the Week
Hannah Burton, Mass. Maritime
Senior, Infield/Catcher, E. Bridgewater, Mass.
Burton batted .571 (8-14), .700 on-base percentage and a .786 slugging percentage and did not strikeout in 20 plate appearances. She worked six walks and scored eight runs on the week while driving in a run and stealing three bases without getting caught. Went 4-for-5 with an RBI, two walks and two stolen bases in the doubleheader sweep of Vermont State-Johnson.

Pitcher of the Week
Makenna Lovelette, Anna Maria
Sophomore, Pitcher, Enosburg Falls, Vt.
Lovelette went 2-2 in five starts for the AMCATS in Florida, with a 2.74 ERA, seven strikeouts (2.74/7 innings), allowing only seven earned runs and 20 hits in 23 innings pitched. Went the distance, only allowing four hits and a strikeout in the 8-0 win over Concordia-Chicago. Pitched another shutout, giving up six hits with four strikeouts in the 1-0 win over Dubuque.

Rookie of the Week
Mikale Lemons, Mass. Maritime
Freshman, Infield, Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Lemons batted .500 in five games with six hits, including a double. She drove in three runs, walked three times, stole five bases and scored four runs for the Bucs in their 4-2 week. She also posted a .600 on-base percentage. In a 5-2 win for the Bucs over SUNY Delhi, Lemons went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI, stolen base and a run scored.
