The Boston Bruins take on the Washington Capitals post trade deadline.
The Bruins made two trades during this year’s trade deadline. The first trade was dealing forward Brett Harrison and defenseman Jackson Edward to the Flyers for forwards Alexis Gendron and Massimo Rizzo. Gendron is a 22-year-old left shot forward who had 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) in 47 AHL games for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Rizzo spent last year in the AHL, but dropped to the ECHL’s Reading Royals this year. He has six goals and 16 assists in 29 games this season.
The second trade was the Bruins acquiring Lucas Reichel from the Vancouver Canucks for a 2026 6th-round pick. Reichel, the former 17th overall pick in the 2020 NHL draft, has played 188 games in his NHL career, scoring 23 goals and 37 assists. The 6-foot, 170-pound forward is set to be a free agent at the end of the 2025-26 season.
