Everything to know about Brax and Ricky’s HOME AND AWAY return

A decade after driving out of Summer Bay, Brax and Ricky are finally back next week and this time the Bay is not the only backdrop.

From red dirt cattle stations to old River Boy loyalties, here is everything you need to know about their highly anticipated Home and Away return.

Home and Away is revisiting one of its most enduring storylines, with Stephen Peacocke and Bonnie Sveen reprising their roles as Darryl Brax Braxton and Erica Ricky Sharpe for a special event arc.

The pair were last seen in 2016 when they drove out of Summer Bay, closing out one of the show’s most memorable chapters, before their return was officially confirmed last October.

This return marks the first time in the drama’s 38 year history that filming has taken place in Western Australia.

Production rolled across Elizabeth Quay in Perth, Bullara Station near Exmouth and the Ningaloo Coast World Heritage Area, including Coral Bay and Cape Range National Park, in partnership with Tourism Western Australia.

On screen, Brax is now working on a remote cattle station deep in the WA outback, where he and Ricky have quietly built a new life with their son Casey.

Far removed from the chaos of the River Boys, the family has deliberately distanced themselves from the turmoil they left behind.

That peace is shattered when Tane arrives in WA after being framed for a crime he did not commit, hoping Brax can help him disappear.

When police launch a nationwide manhunt, harbouring a fugitive threatens to expose everything the couple have spent years rebuilding.

As the show leans back into the mantra once a River Boy, always a River Boy, the question becomes whether Brax can truly leave his past behind or if loyalty will once again put his family at risk.

Brax and Ricky’s special event storyline begins 7.00pm Monday, 9 March on Channel 7 and 7plus.
