AnimeJapan has revealed the results of the Manga We Want to See Animated 2026 ranking.
Leading the Top 10 is mmk‘s The Mortifying Ordeal of Being Seen (Tonari no Seki no Yatsu ga Sou iu Me de Mitekuru). The premise of the Shogakukan title sees two seatmates exchanging sexually tinged compliments.

In second place is Kyu Sumiyoshi’s Strikeout Pitch,(Sankyu Pitch), a Next Manga Awards 2025 winner and Shueisha-published title featuring a formidable pitcher who is limited to three pitches per day. Meanwhile, the third place holder is Naotaka Takade‘s Ketsu Battler, an action title from Shueisha involving swords that are wielded with butts.

Viz Media publishes The Mortifying Ordeal of Being Seen, #Gal x Gal Yuri, and Gokurakugai in English. Strikeout Pitch, Gokurakugai, and Centuria are available on the MANGA Plus service, while On and Off: Work-Life Imbalance can be found on Manga UP!
Gokurakugai placed seventh last year.
The announcements come ahead of the AnimeJapan 2026 event, which will be held on March 28 and 29 (with business days on March 30 and 31) at Tokyo Big Sight. The event features various booths and stages.
