Former Central Coast Mariners Head Coach and Ninja A-League Champion Emily Husband is hoping she’ll have another winners medal around her neck in three weeks time.

Serving as an assistant coach to Matildas boss Joe Montemurro, Husband is now gearing up for an assault on the AFC Women’s Asian Cup as Australia bid to regain the trophy they last won back in 2010.

“Yeah, it’s been a whirlwind last sort of eight months,” Husband told aleagues.com.au.
“I never imagined myself to be standing here, especially right before a home Asian Cup.
“It’s a really, really special place to be. It’s been a wonderful environment to learn in, and a wonderful environment to obviously observe, to join.
“I can’t speak highly enough of the of the environment and the rest of the staff that I’m surrounded by.”
