In an attempt to strengthen bilateral defence and trade ties against the backdrop of ongoing tensions in the Middle East, including the worsening relationship between the United States and Iran, Prime Minister Modi landed in Israel on February 24. On his first day, he delivered an address in the Israeli Parliament and joined his Israeli counterpart for dinner.
On the second day, PM Modi will be visiting the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial, and after that, he will have a meeting with the Israeli President, Isaac Herzog. Around 2.30 pm, PM Modi will discuss with Benjamin Netanyahu, where topics like defence and trade co-operation are expected to take centre stage. The meeting will be followed by a joint press statement. PM Modi will meet the Indian community at 4 PM, and after that, he will depart for Delhi, marking an end to his two-day official visit.
