The 10 players with the highest FotMob rating (from 0.0 to 10.0) across each voting period are selected as the monthly nominees for the Shark Player of the Month award.
The January eligibility period included Rounds 11-15 of the Ninja A-League season, with games between January 3 and February 1 considered in the FotMob rating system.
Morrissey accrued a FotMob average rating of 8.04 through the eligibility period to earn her Shark Player of the Month nomination.
Scoring the highest rating for the eligibility period, the goalkeeper’s performances clearly resonated with the fans as she finished ahead of the likes of Wellington Phoenix’s Brooke Nunn and Sydney FC’s Heather Hinz to clinch the January award.
How does the FotMob rating system work?
FotMob Ratings are powered by advanced data captured by Opta/Stats Perform.
FotMob feeds a wide range of stats and parameters into our algorithm to produce comprehensive player ratings. The algorithm adjusts and weights these statistics according to a player’s position, ensuring that each player is evaluated based on the most relevant aspects of their performance.
This approach allows FotMob to deliver a fair and accurate representation of a player’s contribution on the pitch. FotMob Ratings are widely recognised and trusted by media outlets, clubs, and scouting professionals across the globe to analyse and report on player performances.
