Jarren Duran Sends Hilarious Message On His Veteran Standing In Red Sox Clubhouse

Spring Training workouts are underway for the Boston Red Sox, and one thing is clear: this team is pretty young. Heck, Boston is so young that outfielder Jarren Duran is now considered a veteran on the team.

Duran is gearing up for his sixth season with the Red Sox, and he’s become an integral part of the team. In 2025, Duran put together another strong campaign, as he hit .256 with 16 home runs, 84 RBIs and 24 stolen bases.

While Duran will turn 30 years old in September, he’s still pretty young, for all intents and purposes. However, given how much youth there is in Boston’s clubhouse currently, Duran revealed that he has quickly realized he is one of the older guys on this team.

“I don’t feel 30, I don’t act 30, that’s for sure,” Duran said on “Red Sox From Fort Myers.” “Sometimes I look around and realize that I am one of the older guys around and I’m like, ‘Dang, this sucks.’”

Age is just a number, especially when considering that Duran hasn’t shown any signs of aging to this point. At his best, he remains a premier five-tool player who can impact the game in a variety of ways. Even with a new crew of prospects making their way to the majors, Duran is still a crucial piece of this team.

Duran is currently preparing for the World Baseball Classic, where he will be playing for Team Mexico in the tournament. Once that ends, though, look for him to put together another strong season with Boston, both on the field and in the clubhouse as one of the team’s leaders.
