The Punjab government has announced revised school timings across the province for the holy month of Ramadan.
According to a notification issued by the School Education Department on February 16, all educational institutions in Punjab will follow adjusted schedules during Ramadan.
For single-shift schools, classes will run from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, while on Fridays, schools will close at 12:30 PM.
For double-shift schools, the morning shift will operate from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM from Monday to Thursday. The evening shift will run from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the same days. On Fridays, the second shift will function from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
The notification also states that girls’ schools will open and close 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled timings mentioned above. The revised schedule will remain in effect throughout Ramadan to facilitate students and staff observing the fast.
