The Irregular at Magic High School: Yotsuba Succession Arc is back with new promotional content, in the form of a new teaser preview and a second key visual.
It was also announced that Shion Wakayama and Shuichiro Umeda are voicing Kotona Tsutsumi and Kanata Tsutsumi, respectively.

The Irregular at Magic High School: Yotsuba Succession Arc is set for a May 8, 2026 release date. The movie and the rest of The Irregular at Magic High School anime are inspired by the Dengeki Bunko light novel series written by Tsutomu Sato and illustrated by Kana Ishida. Yen Press describes the first volume of the light novels as such:
The year is 2095. Magic has been tamed as another form of technology, and the practice of magic is now a rigorous discipline. Brother and sister Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba are just about to start their first year at the renowned First Magic High School of Japan. But the school’s ironclad rules mean that the brilliant Miyuki enters the prestigious Course 1, while her older brother, Tatsuya, is relegated to Course 2–and that’s just the beginning of their troubles!
The Madhouse-produced first season of The Irregular at Magic High School kicked off the string of anime adaptations in 2014. Eight Bit produced the following entries, including Yotsuba Succession Arc: The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie: The Girl Who Calls the Stars (2017), The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor’s Arc (2020), and The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc (2021).
The original light novel series started publication in March 2011 and ended with 32 volumes in September 2020. A sequel series began in October 2020.
The Irregular at Magic High School was originally a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel that debuted in 2008. The franchise includes several spin-offs.
